Doctors are not used to being questioned. Beginning with your studies, you will learn to discuss the recommendations with colleagues, if necessary, and to package these discussions in sometimes incomprehensible "technical jargon". However, it has long since become standard to obtain a second opinion for medical recommendations, be it in "Google", from the family doctor or from another expert.
What still makes many patients feel nauseous has long been routine at ACQUA Med. Our doctors will automatically give you a form for obtaining another medical opinion for every treatment that goes beyond a trifle, especially in the case of surgical indications. In this way, you can have the findings checked again in a relaxed manner and then go into the treatment with the certainty that only your health really counts.
Strictly speaking, this "second opinion" is even a third opinion. Our doctor has previously discussed the recommendation of the MODM® system with his patient and thus included the collective opinion of our digital manuals in his decision.
MDSSS®
Prof. Dr. Gero Strauss is not only an experienced ENT doctor and surgeon, but also shapes significant developments in medical technology in his field. The Medical Data Smart Science Services concept (MDSSS®) supports the doctor in the examination, diagnosis, therapy recommendation and treatment. This increases the quality of treatment and the stability of the results. The medical and surgical handbooks combine knowledge at an international level.

With the founding of the European Reference Center for the nose, sinuses and mucous membrane, knowledge about this organ could be bundled. In particular, the procedures for regenerating the nasal mucosa (BSCN®) and the biologics have significantly improved the results of the treatments.
CHIC®
In 2017 Prof. Dr. Gero Strauss conclude the first contract in Germany for outpatient care with a cochlear implant with the statutory health insurance companies. Since then, more than 100 patients have been fitted with a CI at the Cochlea & Hearing Implant Center (CHIC®). In addition to careful diagnosis, this includes above all the operation and rehabilitation over 24 months and the lifelong care of the patient.
